Course Modules

Module 1 - Mindset

Getting into the right frame of mind when producing is super important. When we do this we try and get into the head of the listener and visualize the emotional content or the energy of the song. This helps us make the track flow and have maximum impact. When you have finished this module you will have an understanding of the right mindset to get into for your own tracks.

Module 2 - Arrangement Sections

Most people know about the standard sections of a track (chorus, verse etc), and in this module you will learn how to put all of these together for maximum impact in your own productions. Every different section is covered in detail so you will have a great grasp of what section to use, when and why in your own tracks to keep your listeners pulled in.

Module 3 - Creating Contrast In Your Arrangement

Once you understand the sections you need to make each section standout but also remain similar so that the track gels together. In this module you will learn to make each section have it's own unique characteristics and sound separate from each other using the tools that you already have in FL Studio, again helping your track pull in the listener.

Module 4 - Creating A Bare Bones Structure

With all the knowledge you have gained you can start arranging your track. In this module you will learn how to create a bare bones structure of your track. This process is really quick and really powerful as you can do this in every track you make to quickly build the entire structure of your track and test different sections with each other.

Module 5 - Transitioning Between Sections

One thing a lot of people struggle with is how to get the sections to gel together and how to go from the chorus to the breakdown/verse, to the buildup and into the next chorus. In this module you will learn how to create transitions between the different sections of your track and how to approach breakdowns and buildups.

Module 6 - Audio Painting

In this module you will learn about the techniques that Riley uses in his own productions to communicate with the listener through the structure and arrangement on your tracks. It's all about how to prepare and surprise the listener. This is what keeps the listener interested into your track and is what you will learn to do. This is one thing that makes the difference between amateur and pro tracks.
