Module 1 - EQ Basics

In this module you will learn the basics of Equalization and all the terminology of an EQ plug in. This is great for beginners as Eddie shows you around the plugin and explains all the different facets, filter curves and dials that benefit you greatly when it comes to applying EQ to your own tracks.

Module 2 - EQ For Clarity

One of the first uses for EQ is that of adding clarity to your track and you do this not by adding stuff to your mix but rather by removing unwanted frequencies and providing as much space around an element as possible. By the end of this module you will understand where to cut frequencies and where to leave them alone.

Module 3 - EQ For Presence

You can use EQ to add a 'brilliance' to your mixes, add punch to elements and play with the dynamics to get a hugely improved sound. By the end of this module you will be able to add punch and clarity to kicks, add dynamics to guitars/bass, add presence to keys/piano and much more. This is an essential set of skills.

Module 4 - EQ Types

As with most aspects of music production, there are many different tools you can use when it comes to EQ. Here Eddie will take you through the different types of EQ available to you and you will learn more advanced knowledge on how they work and the different types of filtering curves you should use in any given situation.

Module 5 - Dynamic EQ

Dynamic EQ is one of the best things about advanced modern EQ plugins. You can use it to automatically adjust the the EQ balance of a piece of audio or a group/bus track on the fly, giving you unprecedented control over the EQ spectrum. Here you will learn to use in on different elements and improve the clarity of your mixes.

Module 6 - Mastering EQ

Mastering using EQ is a vital but also potentially damaging thing to do if you are not aware of the pitfalls. Here you can draw from Eddie's massive experience in these matters and learn how to do this successfully to be able to add a shine, clear up tracks and make your tracks final mastered masterpieces. Every producer should at least understand this advanced & vital process.
