All-in-One Courses And Deep Dives
As a Steinberg Certified Training Centre, we've helped thousands level up with expert-led, industry-standard courses that are simple, powerful, and fun. You'll reference concepts from multiple angles, solidify knowledge, and finish your first full track quickly - gaining a rewarding framework to create independently, without trial-and-error
When Jay and I started Born To Produce over 15 years ago, we were frustrated by the dry, button-by-button tutorials that dominated the market - leaving beginners overwhelmed without practical context or real-world application. We set out to fix that with a superior approach:
Level 1: teaching explains controls individually (next to useless);
Level 2: shows them in isolated examples (like most YouTube videos);
Level 3 (how we teach): embeds everything in the full song-making process - from blank project to mastered track - building contextual awareness through hands-on, step-by-step frameworks.

Actually amazing. So much good content and although it starts with the basics it moves very quickly into more advanced arranging techniques that I agree does not get talked about in any other videos online. Loads of 'ah ha' moment and very happy I invested :)
Born To Produce have done it again. Another excellent tutorial. Easy to follow, informative and pitched perfectly for Cubase beginners or those of us who haven't used Cubase for a number of years. Jon and Jay know how to support, engage and inspire. I am incredibly grateful for their guidance. I'm hooked!
"I've learnt a lot more from the first few videos than any other tutorial. I will definitely be looking at purchasing more courses from BTP in the near future."

Answer:
Music production is the process of creating, recording, arranging, and refining music using software like a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). It’s an incredibly rewarding creative outlet, whether you want to make beats for fun, produce your own songs, or even become a professional music producer. Producing music lets you express yourself, build skills, and make tracks that others can enjoy, and maybe even make a living doing it!
Answer:
To get started with music production, all you need is a computer and headphones or speakers. The best way to learn is by following structured tutorials that guide you step-by-step inside your DAW of choice, like Cubase, Ableton, FL Studio, or Logic. Our beginner music production courses are perfect for learning fast, making real tracks, and getting confident with music software from day one.
Answer:
You only need 3 essentials to start producing music at home:
Computer – Any PC or Mac from the last 8 years works fine.
DAW (music software) – Choose from Cubase, Ableton, FL Studio, etc.
Headphones or speakers – Any decent pair will do to start.
Optional gear like a USB microphone or MIDI keyboard can enhance your setup, but aren't required to begin making music.
Answer:
The best DAW depends on your needs:
Cubase – Great all-rounder for any genre.
Ableton Live – Best for electronic music and live performance.
FL Studio – Super user-friendly for EDM and beat making.
Logic Pro X – Versatile, Mac-only, ideal for modern production.
We recommend trying a few free demos and seeing which DAW fits your workflow best.
