I've been using GarageBand - is this a good next step?
It's the perfect next step. Logic Pro and GarageBand share a similar interface since they're both made by Apple, so you'll feel at home straight away. This course will show you how to unlock the much more powerful tools and features that Logic Pro offers, while building a complete track along the way.
Does this course work with the latest version of Logic Pro?
Yes. The course covers core Logic Pro features and workflows that apply across all recent versions. Logic Pro's interface and stock instruments remain consistent across updates, so everything you learn will be relevant whether you're on the latest version or a slightly older one.
Can I use Logic Pro on Windows?
Unfortunately not. Logic Pro is exclusive to macOS and is not available on Windows. If you're on a Windows PC, check out our beginner tutorials for Cubase, FL Studio, or Ableton Live - they all work on Windows and follow the same step-by-step, start-to-finish teaching approach.
Do I need any additional plugins or software?
No. The entire course uses Logic Pro's stock plugins and instruments, including Retro Synth and Logic's built-in sampler. You don't need to buy anything extra to follow along and produce a professional sounding track.
Do I need a microphone or guitar to follow the course?
No. The recording module is completely optional. If you have a mic or guitar, great - you'll learn how to record them in Logic Pro. If you don't, you can skip that module and still complete the entire track using Logic's built-in instruments and samples.
